I'm Still Here!

This is my usual face of frustration with Desmond when I ask him to take a picture and he takes  1,000 and most of them are when you aren't ready...Of course Shareka is always ready. However I have used the picture to show my frustration with blogging in general. It is not easy. I mean yes it some sense it is because you can post whatever you want whenever you want BUT becoming a popular blog is hard work. I won't lie I have wanted to quit numerous times but to no avail I keep chugging on. Which is why I have taken a little break to revamp and reboot. Not saying I won't be posting at all in the next coming weeks but if you don't hear from me for some time don't worry I haven't run off and joined the cast of Keeping up with the Kardashians just yet. (They called but we couldn't settle on a dollar amount) Either way I am thinking up some sweet ideas and working on other projects, so this post is just to say don't forget about me and I won't forget about you as we journey into 2015!

P.S. Just to ensure you we did get a good shot. Thanks Desmond for this one and only one.

Tueday Treasures! (A day late sorry!)

Things I'm loving right now...

I tried this Salmon in a Bag recipe last week and not only was it delicious but also super easy. The only ingredients you need are salmon, lemon, butter, salt and pepper and walaaa! A meal fit for a queen.

With a new year about to roll around I wanted to give my budgeting a revamp. It is always nice when you can find ways to save a little extra money and why not do it in style. I found these free printables at Thirty Handmade Days and of course they are awesome because they are free but they look nice and are sure to keep you organized for 2015.

Black Friday is its own holiday to me. I love it! Even though these days it is more like Thanksgiving/Black Thursday... but that's none of my business. However if you are an avid Black Fridian like myself then this app is a must have. It shows you when stores have released ads, you can also view the ads right in the app, and it notifies you when ads or stores are updated. You can even create a shopping list. Oh Yeah!

Arnold Sandwich Thins have become my new favorite. They taste delicious and they are good for you. At only 100 calories they make any sandwich taste scrumptious even though you aren't using the traditional sandwich bread. And of course the price is reasonable.

Until Next Time....

RHOA: A New House, A Liar, and 2 Crybabies

These women... I just can't. I don't usually do post like these (although maybe I should because I watch an ungodly amount of TV) but with the episode that aired last night I had too.

1. Why does Momma Joyce need a 7 bedroom house?
I mean I get it. If I had money I would buy my mom a house too. BUT she wouldn't have turned down a house I wanted to give her that was just as nice AND she wouldn't need 7 bedrooms for just her. Plus why does she need to be right around the corner from Kandi when she doesn't even like Todd to begin with? I just feel like Momma Joyce has the upper hand when it comes to Kandi and she continues to show that. Plus it seems like it was a decision that Kandi made on her own without Todd and that isn't fair. I mean buying a new pair of boots without saying anything is one thing (sorry Desmond) but a house....

2. Kenya was not attacked. She was given a dose of her own medicine.
Like everyone else that has spoken on this issue I do not condone violence. But there comes a time with some people when you just can't take it anymore. When you provoke someone you can't expect them to not retaliate. And when they do please don't act like your life is falling apart at the seams all because someone yanked your weave. Get up smooth down your track and keep it moving. Kenya needs to let it go and stop throwing herself a pity party every episode.

3. Cynthia! Stop blaming NeNe for your life turn around.
I am so tired of Cynthia making it seem like now she has more time for Peter since she isn't friends with NeNe. Now she is happier because she isn't friends with NeNe. Girl bye! That's on you that you weren't spending enough time with your man. And everyone knows that you make you happy first. Sometimes yes we do need to cut dead weight out of our lives but how long that weight is there, how much it impacts us, and when we get rid of it is up to ourselves. Not NeNe Leakes.

4. Apollo is a dirty dog.
Really Apollo really? I mean I don't like Kenya, for the record; but to lie on someone like that is just wrong. And then to admit you lied but not really show any remorse, that's dead wrong. Like Kandi said he had everyone rooting for him and looking at Kenya side-eyed when really she never did anything wrong. And that everyone includes the viewers. Not only that but you have told everyone else that you lied but not your wife? And another thing. Stop trying to throw Phaedra under the bus because she has chosen not to have your back for your second go around to jail. How much support do you want before you decide not to tear your family apart. Jerk.

I will give props where props are due so KUDOS to:

Ayden who is the cutest thing and so smart. The best thing about last nights episode.

Kandi standing up for Porsha to Kenya and the rest of the gang.

A Claudia's joke about the social security card because lets admit at first it was look ooo but then it was like yeah that was funny.

Until next time...

My Top Ten Favorite Movies for Halloween

No Halloween is legit without a scary movie, or two, or five. There is so many too choose from and so much candy to eat while watching it can be pretty overwhelming. Alas I am to the rescue with a tiny list to make your decision tomorrow night a little easier. Most old but a couple new movies to keep you all night after the ghouls and goblins have retired until next year. On the bright side you'll get that extra hour of sleep Sunday. Holla!

I remember my grandma taking me to see this in theaters. Of course my eyes remained covered for half the movie. But now this is a Halloween classic. It is a must on Halloween or any other time you just want to relish in the amazement that is Bette Midler.

Possessed doll doesn't get any more well played than Chucky. Wouldn't exactly call him a friend til the end or see the other thousand sequels but the original is the bomb.

Videotapes and phone calls have never been so creepy. Or wells for that matter. Or little girls with long dark hair. Let's just say it's all creepy cause it is.

Playing with life after death in any scenario can be tricky and well in this movie it's just bad. Evil cats are one thing evil humans are another. As they say in the movie, "sometimes dead is better. "

The title is Halloween itself that should pretty much seal the deal...

One, two, Freddy's coming for you. / Three, four, better lock your door. / Five, six, grab your crucifix. / Seven, eight, gonna stay up late. / Nine, ten, never sleep again.

Summer camp has never been so scary. Well except for the snakes and spiders but you catch my drift.

I'm not sure why I love this movie so much. Maybe because you would have to be crazy to spend the night in a haunted house for any type of reward. The things people do for money...

Five friends in the middle of the woods is freaky enough. Add a Book of the Dead and well lets just say things can only go down from there.

One chilling tale may do you in but four? Yeah just prepare yourself before watching.

Hope you enjoy and have a freakishly fun and frightening Halloween!
